Czech Government Scholarships

The Government of the Czech Republic offers 5 full scholarships for Myanmar/Burma students commencing their studies in the Czech Republic in the academic year 2014-15. You can select from programmes in the Czech language (Bachelor, Master or Ph.D.) or in English (Master or Ph.D.). The deadline for applications is September 30, 2013.
If you apply for a programme in Czech, you receive an intensive one year language course prior to your degree. Therefore, knowledge of Czech is not required.

What can you study?
·         Czech language (3 scholarships): Economics (Trade), ICT, Agriculture, Medicine, and Humanities
·         English language (2 scholarships) : Economics (Trade), ICT, Agriculture

Who can apply?
·         Myanmar/Burma citizen
·         If applying for a Master/PhD programme, prior Bachelor’s/Master’s degree needed

How to submit your application?
·      Deadline for an online registration and submission of your application is September 30, 2013. No application will be accepted after this deadline!

Atlas Corps seeks nonprofit leaders from around the world to apply for Fellowships in the U.S. and Latin America. Atlas Corps engages leaders committed to the nonprofit sector in 12-18 month, professional fellowships at organizations to learn best practices, build organizational capacity, and return home to create a network of global leaders. Fellows serve full-time at Host Organizations such as Ashoka, CARE, the Grameen Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, UNICEF, and the UN Foundation. 

In addition, Fellows will supplement daily knowledge with theoretical topics presented in the Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab and networking with leaders from around the world. This prestigious fellowship includes a living stipend to cover basic expenses (food, local transportation, and shared housing) and health insurance. Calling for Applicents of CDCE Program at Chiang Mai University

This is a good news for whom CDCE friends and colleagues, the application for the 13th Batch of the Community Development and Civic Empowerment (CDCE) Program at Chiang Mai University to be held September 19 – December 15, 2013 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.


CDCE is a three month certificate course in development management and community development theory.  For over 6 years, CDCE has been building the capacity of local agents for grassroots social transformation in Myanmar. We accept participants from NGOs, media groups, religious organizations, non-formal education institutes and civic empowerment organizations who focus on strengthening community participation in development and governance.

Qualified applicants will:
1.) Have completed a BA degree (or have extensive work experience in the field of community development.)
2.) Have at least two years of work within civil society - including experience with INGOs, NGOs, CBOs, civic groups, media, research institutes, self help and volunteer groups.
3.) Be able to read, write, listen to and speak English

UPDATED PROGRAM: For the 13th batch recruitment phase, CDCE would like to announce that we will offer a 3-day complimentary course in Yangon to all applicants who are chosen to sit for an interview. The course will be held from August 13 – 15 (the three days following the interviews). It will be led by senior lecturers from CDCE and is open only to interview participants. Course time and location will be announced with the interview announcement.
