Scholarship Description:

Shanghai Jiao Tong University is pleased to announce the 2014 Chinese
Government Scholarship Program for full-time postgraduate studies at
the university.

Scholarship Eligibility:

(1) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health;

(2) Applicants should be graduates of well-known overseas or Chinese
universities, or those universities that have established exchange
programs with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with excellent academic
performance or recommended by a Shanghai Jiao Tong University
professor;

(3) Applicants should not be a student of a Chinese University (except
for those who have graduated from a Chinese university for one year or
longer)

(4) Education background and age limit:

Applicants for master’s degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under
the age of 35;

Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master’s degree and be under
the age of 40;

(5) Applicants should not be holding scholarships of any other
category meanwhile.

Deadline for Application:

March 15, 2014

Level of Studies:

Master, Doctor

Scholarship Coverage:

(1) tuition waiver, basic teaching materials fee waiver and on-campus
dormitory fee waiver;

(2) A monthly stipend (Master’s degree students: 1700RMB/month,
Doctoral degree students: 2000RMB/month);

(3) One-off resettlement subsidy of 1500RMB/person on arrival;

(4) Out-patient medical fees and Chinese Government Scholarship
Foreign Students Medical Insurance of 600RMB/person/year.
