The Supplementary Grant Program Asia (SGPA) offers supplementary grants to students from Myanmar to study at accredited university programs outside of Myanmar. The program is designed to provide additional funds to students who are enrolled in academic programs in accredited colleges, universities, and community colleges leading to a degree (B.A., M.A., PhD, etc). NEW applications are invited until 15 March 2013. Applications for CONTINUED funding are advised to wait until the release of the SGPA Application for Continued Funding.

The Master of Public Health Scholarship supports medical practitioners from Myanmar to pursue Master’s degrees in Public Health or Master’s degrees in Health Social Science at universities within Thailand or the Philippines. Qualified applicants are advised to apply to both the university and the scholarship program. The scholarship application deadline is 6 January 2013.

The Asia Pacific Consortium Scholarship (APSC) is an integrated scholarship program that supports emerging civil society leaders from Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Thailand with full scholarships to pursue master’s degrees in the top social science programs in the Asia Pacific Region. APSC is pleased to invite applications from qualified individuals. The application deadline is 15 November 2012.

The Cetana Educational Foundation Scholarship Program is now accepting scholarship applications from current Myanmar residents seeking to help develop social services or human resources within Myanmar. Scholars will study at universities in Thailand, primarily for granting of Master’s degrees, and in the United States, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The application deadline is 30 September 2012 or 1 May 2013 (Asian Institute of Technology only).

The UPEACE Asia Leaders Program is now accepting scholarship applications from students from Myanmar who wish to pursue a Master’s degree in a peace-related field! A total of 30 scholarships will be awarded this year, and students will have the opportunity to study in both the Philippines and Costa Rica. The application deadline is 17 Sept 2012.
